Looking at his updates on his fullcontactpoker forum, he was running really bad... He said at one point that he'd be stuck for half a million if he got these cards in the big game...

This is the second day. They were always supposed to play down to the final table on day 2. I don't think anyone expected it would take this long.

[/ QUOTE ]

Daniel N talks about this in his video blog, he says Harrah had planned the levels based on ~100 players, and >140 entrants caused the 2nd day to be very long. I guess he expected 2nd day to be completed at 9AM.

"If I was playing 4000-8000 with the boys, I'd be stuck over half a million. This is creepy."

Edit: Sorry, a bit behind ontario i guess.

Matt's last hand.Matt finished 17th in the HORSE for $0. 16th would have paid $137,000. He played really well at the end, having to take a stand in stud with AQJ. Andy Bloch of all people defended with 322 and the deuces held up unimproved.

Can somebody clear up the round-for-round situation? I thought if two people were eliminated in the same round as the bubble bursts, they split the payout.

Cardplayer lists Cuong Do as having been paid 137,280, and Matt Hawrilenko as having busted with $0. But they were both eliminated in the same round.

Is this:

a) me not understanding Round-for-Round?
b) me being wrong and they were eliminated in different rounds?
c) Cardplayer screwing up? (nah - that can't be it...)

thx in advance...

Ivey Takes One Off Greenstein
STUD 8/OB

With $220,000 in the pot, Phil Ivey shows a full hand of Ah Ac 6s 5s 4s 4h 3d. Barry Greenstein mucks. Ivey is at $590,000 and Greenstein is down to $110,000.

I don't know if Matt got paid or not, but that's a pretty sick bubble if he didn't -- to play for two days, one of them being a 17 hour session,, and outlast 125 or so of the best players in the world in a variety of games -- and not make a dime.

When two players are eliminated on the same hand the player that started the hand with more money is placed higher.

Cash Game Action
7 a.m. has past, and the 15 players remaining are still battling down to the final 9. A few tables away in the cash game section, Josh Arieh and Phil Hellmuth have been playing Chinese Poker for the last few hours.
