[ QUOTE ] Take a week break man..you are a machine.. Also, you probably need to move up..Obviously this isn't advice I need to be giving lol, but I think once you can get a handle on 200NL it means you will be making better profits which means you won't feel like you have to play as constantly since you are still making a good amount(Playing 3/4 as much with nearly the same winrate makes a biiigg difference in time) Just a thought! [/ QUOTE ] June 16-23 I am OFF. Actually taking a trip to Washington DC to do some sight-seeing, shopping, swimming, and relaxing. I can't wait! AFA moving up...I probably would have by now BUT...two bad streaks (-12BI) in the past 2 months has me in the middle of re-tooling my game. [/ QUOTE ] Understood..Personally I really think moving up your aggression at these levels will make you have less variance..In this case it makes you be able to beat people out of constant $10 pots whenever your betting preflop in position with A4s and all doesn't hit but your c-bet takes them out..I think it makes the cards dictate less especially when you get a big hand and get paid off more.. I actually am prob around 19/11 but am not aggro enough and am getting ran over some at 200NL still..People are playing back at me and I am backing off etc..I really still have so much to learn to be able to play regularly at places like 600 and 1000 and even think about making this a profession(For me to actually look at doing this after college I would want to be playing high enough where I am getting so many bonuses that the bonuses are like an income all in their own, and then winnings are just for being baalllaa).. |

Re: ***Official April Nit Chat Thread***
Perfect read? Come on... I don't know if that's justification for playing a hand very unorthodox. I guess I wonder why you have no fear of him drawing out here.
Saying every time he reraises you on the flop, he has nothing, and if he then checks the turn he has nothing just sounds a bit overconfident, but I'll take your word if you insist. I would be worried about losing a big pot on a K,Q,8 or some other outdraw like you experienced here. |

I saw him do this 3 times today and a couple times before today. If I didn't have that read then there is no way I play it like that. Definately no way I just call at the end either..It's a tough hand, but I think the 95% of the time he doesn't hit a set, I win 18-25 more from him.. Good discussion though I agree with some comments and I've only played a hand like this every once in a while, but sometimes you gotta switch things up too, especially if you think you have a v good read |

Also, sorry for jumping in on the harrassment at the tables. I thought it was hilarious that that guy made such a big deal about you keeping your stack at 100. He obviously has no clue why we do this. I was upping my stack also, of course. [/ QUOTE ] that didn't bother me missing every single flop or getting RR off my hand though did he was bad and I wanted him at the table, preferably with more money I've come to realize though after playing a lot more FR, and more with you that you are nowhere near the nit I once thought, towards the nitty side of tag sure but man there are some meganits in those games |

but man there are some meganits in those games [/ QUOTE ] I'm still trying to understand exactly what a nit is and I think there might be different opinions on what that word means. Is a nit a nut-peddler? Set-miner? One who waits for the best hand and then tries to play a big pot? If that's the case then nits are losing players at 100NL for sure (although they probably beat the lower levels where many more donkeys graze). Or is a nit something else? |
