I typed up something on the mathematics of stack sizes in heads up SNGs. If someone could look it over and verify the equations, I'd appreciate it (its late and my mind is slow).

I tried to figure out what your positional stats are but my math makes no sense.

If we assume you never limp on the BTN then:

PFR = (PFR_BTN + PFR_BB) / 2 = 33
PFR_BTN = VPMIP_BTN = 55
VPMIP = (PFR_BTN + VPMIP_BB) / 2 = 40

(55 + PFR_BB) / 2 = 33
(55 + VPMIP_BB) / 2 = 40

PFR_BB = 11
VPMIP_BB = 25

So you would be 25/11 on BB and 55/33 on BTN?

Have I gotten it wrong somewhere?

Yeah, I meant 55/55 on SB/BTN; the 55/33 was just a mistype. OK, thanks for the confirmation.

I guess that confirms position >> cards in this game.

Ya, when I looked at profit by position to check those stats for you, I had won 57k from the SB and 1k from the BB (rest of profit this month from random 6max games and stuff)

wow... I watched your video and after 10 mins. I thought "does this guy EVER give up the button?"

No way that was 55/55 from the SB. I just looked into PT and Im 62/58|25/10. I felt like a tightass after watching your vid though.


edit: there is no criticism whatsoever in here. It was a great vid and I dont doubt any of that you say. Maybe looking at 2 tables instead of one made it seem way different than what it was.

i'm at my internship, but i'll check my PT stats to see what my sb/bb numbers were for that session when I get home.

Another thing to take into consideration is that at 5/10 and 10/20 I play a lot of morans who buy in for 20-50bb and against them I play significantly tighter from the SB than I would against a normal 100bb stacked opponent, so that prob brings down my overall vpip #s

True if NL100 FTP players would compare stats they could take this into account. However, game availability at NL10/NL25 at WPEX is probably even worse. I gotta play all the 20 and 40bb stacks as well (which is also why I limp the SB occasionally, see 62/58).

I played a dude at .5/1 a couple days ago and we both had 300. It was great - play any 2 for a raise.
