[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone know when play will stop? I think its been going 18 hours now(correct me if im wrong) and they still have 17 players alive. [/ QUOTE ] They started at 2:00 Vegas time (5:00 Eastern) yesterday, so 16 hours and counting, but this is still bordering on absurd. In a tourney this big/prestigious, I'd think everyone's juices would be flowing to the point where they're not in danger of falling asleep or anything, and many of them routinely put in sessions this long anyway, but still. Everyone can't be at 100% after all this. I haven't seen anything that doesn't say that they're still planning on playing down to the final table today, but I'd imagine a unanimous vote from the players and/or a decision by the tournament director could change that at any time. I can't imagine the final table will go off at its scheduled time, but who knows. |

Does anybody know why they are playing so long? Did the players decide/agree going in that they would play down to the final table on the first day? Or maybe they decided late last night? Let's say they play 4 more hours today. What time will they come back for the FT? 4:00?

This is the second day. They were always supposed to play down to the final table on day 2. I don't think anyone expected it would take this long.

At this rate I'm not sure how long it would take them to play down to a final table...they might not be there by the time they were supposed to start the final table. Aside from this craziness....the list of players left is amazing. Top six including Doyle, Chip, TJ and Singer...Ivey and Greenstein still in it too...I guess the guys who play in the big game really are that damn good.
