Re: The refs have drastically favored the Heat so far.
Mavs won this by making adjustments, driving the lane, and forcing turnovers.

I agree. They really seemed to have tired legs. Forcing themselves to run and leaving jumpshots short. If there's not a long break coming up, which saved them in the Clippers series, I think they're in trouble.

td,
If you say so. He's a loose cannon. I guess it comes down to who he has money on in any given game. Suffice it so say, good win by the Mavs, who clearly have the better team - the Suns have been living on ridiculously borrowed time since the Amare and K. Thomas injuries, much less Raja Bell. Should DAL win the series, I will be rooting for them in the Finals. |

Should DAL win the series, I will be rooting for them in the Finals. [/ QUOTE ] And I would root for the Suns. They really have impressed me this year. With the injuries they've had, what they've done is pretty amazing. Even though I don't believe they will win this series, they do still have a shot. But no matter what happens this year, the teams in the west have to be at least a little concerned about how good the Suns will be next season. If Nash can stay healthy, the Spurs might only be the third best team in the west next year. I'm already really curious about next season. |

Phoenix will be a beast with Amare back, San Antonio won't lose any of their core and will probably pick up a free agent or two, and the Mavs will be strong again. Of course the Clips are in the mix now and with Phil running the show, i expect the Lakers to make a much better run. The west will be stacked and very interesting next year. |

Two first round draft picks in the draft this year doesnt hurt the Suns prospect for next year either

Re: The refs have drastically favored the Heat so far.
Cola, it's all about their going beyond our expectations...
- when Amare went down, we thought playoffs would be nice - when K. Thomas went down, we figgered we'd have him back by now, schedule be damned - when Raja Bell went down, obviously there was concern, but they won without him in a pivital Lakers game, so we'd hold court until then. In short, DAL is playing against a team that doesn't even belong there. In coming years we'll laugh about the matchup...I even predict the Suns will win those showdowns a time or three. |

I think we should wait and see how Amare looks post-injury before we make any predictions about how strong the Suns are going to be next year.
