Re: ***Official Yankees Vs Tigers Thread***
For the ninth inning, a little perspective on how far the Detroit Tigers have come is in order.
Tiger records in the past 5 years 2002 55-106 .342 5th 2003 43-119 .265 5th 2004 72-90 .444 4th 2005 71-91 .438 4th 2006 95-67 .586 2nd (wildcard) Two sub-100 loss seasons, including an incredible 119-loss season just three years ago, is quite a hole to climb out of. |

If Yankees fans start now, they may be able to hold their breath til the end of their season.

Re: ***Official Yankees Vs Tigers Thread***
if i'm doing the math right, polanco was worth about 7 wins in his career year in '05 according to win shares. that was in 501 PAs. this year we get about 4 wins in 495 PAs. so yeah it's pretty unlikely he would be worth five wins in a month and a half. although i probably [censored] up the math somewhere.

Re: ***Official Yankees Vs Tigers Thread***
Should we root for Cano to get on base so that ARod can make the last out?
