Re: New Software Announcement – Smart Buddy, the universal poker buddy
I had the same concerns as you so I didn't feel comfortable sending a year's worth of subscription payments while things were still buggy. Fortunately you can pay one month at a time so even if you don't like it you're only out four bucks or so (that's the good thing about subscription-based models.)
I complain on occasion as their updates are frequent and every so often one of them comes out buggy. For the most part it works well and they are listening and adding a lot of our suggestions. You can try it out for free to see if it works for you. The only limitation is three buddies max I believe. I plan to continue the subscription. |

[ QUOTE ] Support never got back to me on this. Also, any plans to support iPoker? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, Ipoker is on our list of sites we will be adding support for. [/ QUOTE ] Still no word on this. I posted in here and emailed support at the end of last month that all 500 buddies had just disappeared off my list. I then let you know that I'd had no feedback a week ago... |

Re: New Software Announcement – Smart Buddy, the universal poker buddy
Not the iPoker bit, this bit:
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Bad news - It won't remember my password anymore and has forgotten all my buddies (~500), I had a quick look in "C:\Documents and Settings\me\Local Settings\Application Data\Poker Pro Labs\Smart Buddy" and config.xml is blank (even after I save password) and a bunch of empty folders 1.0.0.0-1.0.20.0 that kind of look like they should have config.xml backups in them. Please tell me this isn't what it looks like? [/ QUOTE ] Support never got back to me on this. [/ QUOTE ] |

[/ QUOTE ] I contacted them at he end of last month about this, a previous mail on another issue apparently never got there (I know they got the second one as I did receive one reply telling me someone would look into it), so I'd rather you just dealt with it now, to be honest. |

Re: New Software Announcement – Smart Buddy, the universal poker buddy
I have not head of anyone having this issue so support might know more about it. The best thing to do is reinstall the software. If the file is there it will just save it as backup. You can also send me the xml file so I can take a look at it.

Re: New Software Announcement – Smart Buddy, the universal poker buddy
You also hadn't heard anything about the shutdown bug before I mentioned it, I don't think, and that turned out to be affecting a few people (that's still happening btw after I thought it had stopped).
I've tried reinstalling the software, and if you read through what I've said, the xml files where I believe it should be stored were empty (unless I'm looking in the wrong place?). Anyway, I figured this would not be a resolvable issue, and that seems to be correct, I'll just do regular backups in future. |
