I almost used Sublime's exact post instead of the one I made to point out the bad old days.

It could be so much worse.

Haha, of course it could.

Of course, it could.

We aren't literally lighting prospects on fire or signing obviously over the hill stars. But hey, a lot of the moves made in the late 90s and early 00s didn't look nearly as bad until the contracts had run their course.

After today's pitch count, I expect him to suffer a career ending injury on roughly the 4th pitch of his next start, so there's a good chance that he maintains this ERA all season.

I'll be in town tomorrow. Meeting Joe Tall for beers at sometime, somewhere. You're welcome to join.

i didnt see the point of bringing him out for the 7th, but then again i have seen the body language on the bench during his starts and HE dictates when he comes out.

talked to joe earlier and he was awaiting your call. i guess it came

No. That jackass is Steve Phillips. The Jackass that traded Kazmir is Duquette, now with the O's.

EDIT: Our current rotation is Pedro(hurt toe), Glavine, Victor Zambrano, Steve Trachsel, Aaron Heilman, and Brian Bannister. Watch out National League East!

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually our rotation 1-4 (Bannister is a ? mark) is right up there with the rest of the NL East. Past Hudson/Smoltz who do the Braves have? The Nats have Livan and Patterson then.....Astacio? The Phillies have Lieber, Myers, Wolf...
The Marlins...Dontrelle.

With Hampton on the DL all year I take Pedro, Glavine, Trachsel, Zambrano over the top 4 starters from the other NL East teams everyday. There fans would probably do the same.

Also, the bullpen might very well be the best in the NL East this year. This is definitely arguable as the Nats bullpen is pretty damn good too.

Braves third statrer is John Thomson, who is probably better than Glavine.

Then it's *sigh* Kyle Davies and Jorge Sosa.
