if it was an easy laydown then why did you show it

laying down 27o is easy but you dont show anyone

[/ QUOTE ]

Because I have an ego and wanted to spook the rest of the table.

If I'm the kid with AA, I muck facedown and tell everyone that I had queens.

Me too! But the kid was so proud when he had 'em, I knew he'd show.

Yeah but I don't think you can really get a "feel" for your opponent the way he did online. I don't know, I don't play no limit.

Tom, I've folded KK preflop in NL online 6 times. 4 times I was shown that I was right, the other 2, we can just assume

Making this laydown is standard. Showing it is penis wagging and could make you a target later by encouraging people to bluff at you. So, good laydown, but next time, keep it to yourself at the table. Just my take.

If I was playing a higher game, I agree with you. All it did to this table was make people respect my raises more.

Is this a good thing?

Dominic,
Fantastic read on your part, these past few weeks, I have bee doing this myself. "You can't lose what you don't put in the middle." Does this make us soft? Hell no, great playing and keep it rolling, never be afraid to lay down the weaker hand, even if it is KK.

Anyone ever fold AA on the bubble at a tourney or close to the end? I'd love to hear about it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have a great hypothetical that I bet nobody has ever posed. Say you're at the WSOP main event, and it's the very first hand of the very first day, and you're in the BB and look down to see...

at this particular table, yes. I'd much rather only have the one or two callers when I raise with an AQ or 88 then the normal "if I limped I'm gonna call the raise" type of play that would normally see at least 5 to a flop, raise or no raise.
