Re: Games that made you cry.
This is going to sound weird, but I swear its true....
I'd say that I cry while watching sports games at least 25% of the time or so, many times for over 1/2 the game. *106,122 and counting |

Re: Games that made you cry.
entering 14th yr of knicks season ticket holdership..am 21 now.
reggie's 8 pts in 12 secs or whatever was absolutely demoralzing to a young child. basically every reggie and MJ game was. i also cried after the knicks lost to the rockets after game 7..it felt like the world ended. it took alot of coaxing to get me to go to school the next day. being a knicks fan is so [censored] rough even still. |

'87 NBA playoffs when Bird stole Isaiah's inbounds pass. My grandpa jumped out of his chair, yelled "No!!!" and had a heart attack.

Re: Games that made you cry.
I'm pretty much a giant wuss. The last time I cried was the OU-Colorado game, but that was after a horrible 24 hour period for me. I lost a satellite to a $440 tourney after being up big, getting allin with my opp crushed, i get counterfeited to a chop, but my opp and dealer don't notice. I point it out, and he proceeds to go 5-0 allin against me after that, 4x with the worst hand (AJ over AQ, K8 over A4, 83 over T6, K3 over 84, and TT over AA). I then drop a couple buyins at 1/2 NL, including a $300 pot with KT losing to T9 on TT6 flop, allin on flop, turn 7, river 8. Then another buyin with QQ to AJ on J hi flop, allin, I tell him "you win", Ace on river.
Get up the next morning, lose in $225 tourney, MASSIVE pot, for tourney lead. I tank and call a big allin shove on a board of 689T, 3 diamonds, I have JT with Jd. Opp has AK, no diamond. I'm rewarded with Ac on river. I leave that casino, which is showing the OU-CU game, at halftime with OU leading 17-7. I hear them extend lead to 24-7 and get to the other casino. Game is not on because 'tower is down'. So I have to listen to my dad's horrid commentary as CU gets tipped ball INTs, muffed punts, bad overturned calls, great kick returns, and a career long FG to kill OU's national title chances 27-24 and I couldn't even watch the goddamn game. Stormed out to my car after kicking the hell out of a bathroom stall, lay down in the backseat and cried like a girl. Casinos are 4 hours from me, got a weekend pass, and the weekend was a total disaster. Just one of those times where you feel like no matter what, nothign will possibly go right. Sorry for the tl/dr, but hopefully some of you can relate to that feeling of horror in the disaster series culminating in my dad just saying "he made it. he made it." |
