yeah i have listened to this stuff and a lot of people i know and respect like her, and i just can't listen to it. i used to pride myself on liking all sorts of dissonant and weird [censored], but she just doesn't interest me at all, and that whole style of production puts me off completely.

not liking MIA is one of those things that made me realize i am no longer cool at all.

The thing is that M.I.A is objectively bad hip-hip, but somehow she avoids being called that because of being English and marketing, so what would just be a [censored], simplistic hip-hop record is though of as creative because she's not held to the same standards as other hip-hop artists.
