osu by >= 14.

if, by some fluke (aka officials), PeeU wins, it's worth a few dimes to avoid another osu collapse in the championship game.

LOLOL

tOSU was ranked a lot higher than PSU two years ago and came into Beaver Stadium and lost. PSU has lost once at home in the last 19 games (since '05)...it's not exactly an easy place to play and you're fooling yourself if you think this line is off by 11 points.

yes, i think the line is egregiously skewed, pirate. i certainly am betting it that way. OSU is better this year than at any time in the previous several seasons, imo, and much more balanced than last year's touted team.

(ignoring non BCS opponents) in 2006, psu played only MSU, Mich, and NW at home, winning against MSU (4-8) and NW (4-8); in 2005, PSU went 11-1, and beat OSU, Minn, Purdue, Wis.; in 2004, psu beat only MSU at home, losing to NW, Purdue, and Iowa; in 2003, psu lost to BC, Minn, Wis, OSU (1 pt), and beat Indiana.

how, from this lackluster record (7w,9l) you conclude this is NOT an easy place to play, I have no idea.

close losses at Michigan and at Illinois are not the ugliest thing to have on a resume

[/ QUOTE ]

uhhh App State?

[/ QUOTE ]

ummmm...are you going to disqualify a team because of that?
maybe from a national title, but Michigan is still clearly somewhere around 20-27 in the country

yeah, they lost to App St
they had trouble stopping a mobile QB in a spread that could pass the ball

however, they did outplay App St, but had alot of things go against them in terms of 'breaks'

I know, Michigan was also crushed by Oregon.
1) Oregon is better than the Wolverines and is actually the #1 team on sagarin predictor
2) Again, the breaks didn't go Michigan's way and made it seem worse than it was. Michigan did have 5 possessions in Oregon's territory in the first half, but came away with 7 points.

I'm not saying Michigan is a world beater, but PSU having closs losses on the road to a team around 25 and a team around 35 isn't the worst thing ever. PSU has pretty much done exactly what one expected this year out of a #20 or so team. It's just they've lost more close ones than they've won and their close ones have been road affairs.
