Ok, turns out..

..that '[censored]' simply means black. It comes from the latin 'nigrum' which is the accusative form of 'niger'.

ac·cu·sa·tive
–adjective
1. Grammar.
a. (in certain inflected languages, as Latin, Greek, or Russian) noting a case whose distinctive function is to indicate the direct object of a verb or the object of certain prepositions.

So people who try to use it in a purposefully derogative manner are quite dumb. It is merely stating a fact. If you take offense when people do something like that then I think you're not seeing how dumb those people are.

edit: ugh; the word gets censored..

[/ QUOTE ]

oh it's so simple... it's not like a word is capable of picking up negative connotations through its usage or anything. Nope, it's an open and shut case. cue the lolcats imo.

Racism in the forums is neither necessary nor acceptable, and mods are charged with doing their best to keep it off the boards.

LDO

I am concerned that some people may use this thread to circumvent this overall known desire, by quoting "examples" and by making "double entendre" posts, so I am going to lock it.

As someone said earlier, if you think a post is racist then please click the Notify Moderator button. If a mod takes no action within a day, and you still think they should have, then PM Mat or Ryan.

Thanks.
