Springsteen has stayed more relevant than most other huge acts from the 70s, so the whole "brag in 1975" BS is retarded.

Go watch one of his shows and tell me there is a better live act out there today still.

Haters can't faze me, or my man Clarence......

The NJ delegation of 2+2ers approve of Teh Springsteen and feel that the hating would be more productive elsewhere

Springsteen rocks and the whole 1975 thing is BS as if you were gonna pick a live era it should have been 1978 as that was surely when he was at his best live.

Springsteen is as relevant today as he was in the 70,s and early 80,s and as a live performer he has learnt from every gig he has ever played and gets better each tour.

Brag: Saw my first Springsteen concert tonight at Continental Airlines Arena. Awesome show, played for a lil under 2.5 hours, amazing time.

Haven't heard it yet, but everything I've read has been positive. Saying Bruce was only cool 30 years ago is like saying Clapton was only cool 30 years ago. He is on fire today.

[/ QUOTE ]

ZOMG... there's a special ring of hell for those who compare Clapton to Springsteen.

Clapton is God... Springsteen is an alterboy.

[/ QUOTE ]

speaking of which.... just imagine the status of such acts as:

<ul type="square">[*]Beatles[*]Jimi Hendrix[*]The Doors [*]Led Zeppelin[*]The Who [/list]
etc... if they were still around today...

No thanks, they'd probably all suck.

Musicians should stop playing once they reach 40, unless they are VERY VERY SPECIAL like Johnny Cash or Neil Young.

Springsteens albums have been anemic since the 80s, but not unlistenable. That said, I've seen concert films of him from recently and he clearly is amazing live.

Let's talk about something more productive like why does anyone like Clapton...he is truly the most over-rated guitar wanker of all time.
