2+2 is an example of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing. People think they can play and end up being donators for much longer than normal.

I think this is true. In as much as 2+2 arguably does attempt educate fish to play better, few actually ever get any better, they just play more, try harder, and in the end, donate more. What ever damage 2+2 has done, I think it is outweighed by this phenomena. I could be wrong, however.

Seriously speaking, I think you are wrong. Just fixing preflop will make a -20 ptbb/100h loser into -2 ptbb/100h loser and that's easy to do. 2+2 may have increased the profitability of many us individually or even more likely turned us from losing players into winning players, but it has certainly lowered the profitability of the games as such.
