Re: Tayloy Caby\'s hand from a while ago
the games used to be less agressive then they are now, it was probably a good fold eventhough he has to be right a lot

given the size of taylor's bets theres no way to make sure that villain cannot be value raising worse flushes. definitely have to call.

[/ QUOTE ] While I completely agree with what you're saying, I think it's infinitely more likely that he would slowplay a big flush than a baby one all the way to the river. |

Re: Tayloy Caby\'s hand from a while ago

given the size of taylor's bets theres no way to make sure that villain cannot be value raising worse flushes. definitely have to call. [/ QUOTE ] Well, to be fair there are very few worse flush combinations (97cc 34cc and possibly 74cc or even 24cc, the latter two this player probably wasn't calling with pre, hell, maybe not even 34cc) and with those weaker flushes hed be more likely to raise the turn than with something like an A high flush, although he could very well opt to not raise. GP sure as hell didn't expect any kind of ridic AcX bluff, and if the only way GP thought dude could have a weaker flush was like 97cc and MAYBE 34cc, and its also more likely hed want to flat call turn with a stronger flush than a weaker one, then whats wrong with the fold? Those that think its terrible, what part of that do you disagree with? |

[ QUOTE ] If this wasn't Taylor you all would be screaming "TERRIBLE!" I'm afraid. [/ QUOTE ] Totally, without a pretty special read it's always +EV to call with those odds. [/ QUOTE ] so gd true |

Re: Tayloy Caby\'s hand from a while ago
i would still fold 0% of the time here if for no other reason than a 2card flush is at the absolute top of my range for betting 3 streets on this board. i can be convinced that it was the right move here, but i think that unless your opponent is VERY predictable you should always call this.

[/ QUOTE ] so you're ignoring the fact that no other hand makes sense here at all? i had a similar spot yesterday and almost folded - getting 2 to 1 on my money, flush hit, i'd semi-bluffed turn in position, he shoved river. should've folded but i was a lil on tilt. |
