Hypothetical river play

raising the river fits with the turn check. Normally if I don't think I can raise the river I would bet the turn and take a free sd UI.

I agree. This spot is interesting because your hand is face up basically. Getting 3-bet here by tricky opponents would set up a difficult decision really.
