Kids are just little insane people, what's to like? They are basically uninteresting for 18 years, and then they move out. Try this, listen to someone else talk about their kids, they go on and on about soccer practice, grades, how creative and intelligent the little bastards are, while you sit there bored out of your mind. Guess what? They are bored out of their mind too, and this garbage is all they have left of a shriveled pathetic existence.

The % of guys who want children is probably smaller than you would you think. Most guys give in because they love their spouse or she forgets to take her pill. One of the good things though is that by having a kid you get to sightly skew the statistics. When I have my three children in the future, there will be three more vegans in the world, Take that Carnivores! But seriously, I don't think people have the right to make you feel guilty for not reproducing. If anything, you will help save natural resources which in the future will be very important given the way the people in this world are going through them hand over fist.

Lot of smart, articulate people choosing not to breed here. That might play a role in why they are so thoroughly outnumbered by idiots!

The Victorian era had the kids thing worked out. Have them, give them to a nursemaid, look at them occasionally, and then talk to them only if they happen to become interesting enough to warrent it.

Tons of chicks claim they don't want kids when they're young. They usually end up being [censored] psycho liars and faking birth control

The real reason is that I'm selfish and don't want to be tied down to little people - I like the idea of being able to travel whenever I want and not really have any obligations. I think this can still be fulfilling if one spends one's time volunteering and doing charitable works - you can make the world a better place without producing someone else to do it for you.

I disagree. IMNSHO having kids is the most selfish and egotistical thing a person can do. We don't need anymore population in this world. People who have kids think they are so perfect they have to recreate themselves....

I am that egotistical, my wife and I did it twice.

Not having children is pretty selfless, not taking up mor of the worlds resources. Adopting a kid is the most selfless thing a person can do.

The morality of reproduction does not hinge on overpopulation or using up the planet's scarce resources. According to this philosophy, committing suicide is the greatest contribution a person can make. Human beings are more valuable than coal.

The idea that the world is overpopulated is completely wrong and dumb and invented by environmentalists. Find a better argument pls.
