Re: Changing my sleep pattern
[ QUOTE ]
by the way, deprive yourself of the comp while you do this. playing with the computer is terrible for sleep. [/ QUOTE ] yes, this is key. if you really want to go to bed at midnight, you're not going to want to be on the computer at all past 11PM at the latest. Also, proper sleep hygiene is crucial. |

Re: Changing my sleep pattern
i don't think you need skip a nights sleep entirely, just sleep 6am-10am one morning and no doubt you'll be in bed by midnight. how does this even merit a thread?

Re: Changing my sleep pattern
I've been trying to get my sleep schedule back on track for like 4 days or so. I don't even know how long it has been since everything runs together.
3 days ago I decide to skip a day. I lose motivation to do it at about 11:30am when I realize there is [censored] nothing on TV to keep me occupied. Wake up at 5:30pm. That night I get tired at about 2am and think SHIP IT and am asleep by 2:30am. I wake up at 3pm and am still tired. Decide to set my cell phone alarm and stay in bed for another 20 minutes. 10:45pm I finally wake up. God damnit. Today I'm just not going to sleep until at least 2am. No pussing out. I'll go get a case of red bull if I have to. |

Re: Changing my sleep pattern
yeah, skipping a night sucks unless you have something very occupying to do. I've tried it 3-4 times and it never worked, I always ended up pussing out/getting bored and going to sleep at around midday. If you have teh willpower then by all means try it.

Re: Changing my sleep pattern
My work is rotating shift work. 7am-3pm week one. 11pm-7am week two. 3 pm to 11pm week 3. No problem. For the night shift week I go to the cas and play cards till 9am. Then sleep.
I think OP needs to harden the [censored] up. |

Re: Changing my sleep pattern
Just sleep for like 3-4 hours when you normally go to bed at 6am...you'll wake up and will go through the day tired an will want to go to bed earlier. Do so, and you're all set.

[/ QUOTE ] This doesn't work for me in the least...regardless of how early I wake up, if I go out and do stuff after like 3 hours I'm awake again and I won't be able to sleep for another 18 hours or so...even if I don't sleep more than a few hours several days in a row still doesn't matter. |

Re: Changing my sleep pattern
You can't fix it. If you are on the net a lot and play poker, there is no fixing it. Sure you might fix it for a few days, maybe even a week. After awhile it is right back to the same [censored]. Get used to it.
