[/ QUOTE ] if theres been history, or if he recognised my sn, i'd shove here expecting hero calls from A7+ i would also consider shoving the river with something like 87 myself here as a bluff. obv most people will be like 'lol he calls with any Jx cos ure line makes no sense...' so obv shove river when ure at the top of ure Jx range edit: tufat23 ~ releveling everyone ~ |

Re: AJo bvb vs. Ahnuld - FT NL 200
Yeah I raise flop 100bbs deep in a blind battle all day along here vs a good aggro reg and eagerly stack off to resistance. I wouldn't take that line against everybody though, but generally I'm playing this hand very aggressively.
River is a call for sure though, although you are actually beat here a fair amount of the time. I'd suspect Ahnuld could play a worse J in this manner as well. Lots of times when I flop top pair I'll keep betting the turn when an overcard hits and often get looked up very lightly. Shoving the river is too thin without a lot of metagame/history. |

Re: AJo bvb vs. Ahnuld - FT NL 200
This looks fine to me
W/o history I don't like a flop riase that much, at this level he'll probably assume an unknown has the nuts or something Also w/o history I think call PF is standard |

Re: AJo bvb vs. Ahnuld - FT NL 200
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Reraise preflop. AJo is a hand you want initiative with, not be the one calling. [/ QUOTE ] You never bluff-raise flops or float? I've started floating an absolute tonne vs Party TAGs bvb and its like printing money vs a lot of them. [/ QUOTE ] Floating is viable but someone like Ahnuld is gonna double barrel a lot and you'll have no idea where you're at. So I vote to take the initiative and let Ahnuld be the one who has to do the calling AND be out of position without initiative. [/ QUOTE ] It's this type of loose logic that allows better players like ahnuld to win money. His double barreling frequency for example is a big function of how he perceives you and past history. Also, while being the one reraising and bluffing can be good if he is tough but not spewy, that doesn't really apply to our strong bluff catcher type hands (like this spot) which prefer when money goes in via an aggressive tag betting our hand for us. |

raising the turn is horrible- you could call/call for the same price/cheaper AND see a showdown. Anyway, snap call this. [/ QUOTE ] |
