one could also make the case that would Jamal Lewis did was worse

[/ QUOTE ]

"Attempting to distribute cocaine" is worse then killing someone in a drunk driving accident? I'd like to hear that argument

[/ QUOTE ]

I meant worse than Vick. I mean, I probably don't think so, but I'm sure some do.

Those who do are out of their god damned minds.

Rae Carruth was accused and convicted of conspiring to murder his girlfriend. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

Craig MacTavish served a year in prison for a drunk driving sentence in Boston - I believe it was vehicular manslaughter.

Gotta love justice.

Talking about killing someone > actually killing someone.

WTF.

Carruth was the driver in the drive-by shooting of his pregnant GF. She died, baby lived but has cerebral palsy.

If you don't think he deserves life in prison, you should probably headbutt your wall until you are unconscious.

Apologies, I didn't know the details or Carruth and read the post as saying he was convicted of conspiring to kill his girlfriend (ie that she wasn't actually hurt but he had planned on it).

I guess the problem is that this topic tends to make us think of athletes who actually did something wrong.

Also, about 7 months later their RB Fred Lane was shot by his wife (yeah, actually he had just been traded to the Colts, but hadn't played there yet). Weird couple of months for the Panthers.
