Re: [Konrad] 20/08/07 - Contract terms
I thought FOB was Fall Out Boy at first because of all that fall out girl [censored] in BBV4life.

Re: [Konrad] 20/08/07 - Contract terms
I didn't understand the terms. Now that I do understand the terms the joke is still not funny, even if I had known what the terms meant earlier.
However, I do feel happy that I learned something interesting about the details of the shipping industry. |

Re: [Konrad] 20/08/07 - Contract terms
Very funny.
I learned about FOB for the first time when studying for the California Bar, so I can see why many people didn't understand it. I thought it was brilliant though. |

Re: [Konrad] 20/08/07 - Contract terms
I knew what FOB means (although, I did think for a moment you were going with the Fresh Off the Boat version) but never heard of CIF (or at least forgot I learned it). A little too obscure, but funny in concept.

FOB stands for 'Free on Board'. [/ QUOTE ] Sonuvagoat. I quote all day long using FOB, but have always thought it to mean "freight on board". I like my way better. I wouldn't want to have the word "free" anywhere on a quote. |

A little googling also pops up Freight On Buyer which makes it even more clear than the other two. |
