A friend of mine does standup comedy and has a joke along the lines of, "Interestingly, most girls hate the word 'moist,' but they like the feeling."

In Australia wanker is an incredibly malleable word, but is frequently used as a term of endearment. More accurately I guess, as a harmless insult directed at someone you're fond of or whatever. So, I dunno, a mate taps you on the right shoulder from behind even though he's standing on the left of you (that old chestnut): "you wanker". Harmless. It can be more insulting than that, but nothing that would propel it anywhere near c--t, f--k or even sh-t.

The litteral meaning relates to masturbation, is that the same in the UK?

Yes - also most of these words can be used with friends, but take on a different 'level' when directed at someone in anger.

Time for a joke.

Little Johnny walks into school one day to find a substitute in place of his regular teacher.

She says, "Hello class, I'm Mrs. Prussy. When you say my name class remember it has an "r" after the first letter."

The entire class says, "Hello Mrs. Prussy."

A few days later the regular teacher is still sick. When Little Johnny gets to his desk, the teacher asks him what her name is.

Johnny thinks hard and the says to the teacher, "I remember it has an "r" after the first letter."

"That's right!" she coaxed.

Little Johnny says, "Mrs. Crunt?"

Wow, my friend Erum says Paki all the time and encourages me to do so as well. Guess I shouldn't be too surprised when her family beats me to death after I call them all silly Pakis, .

C*nt is probably one of my favourite words. Saved for special occasions when it is fully warranted obviously it has a great sound to it.

Also, I hate people who say swearing is just for people with limited vocabulary. I have a pretty decent vocabulary, I just like throwing in a swear-word here and there for effect.

Wanker - really not that offensive.
