The only things that really include tax that I know of are things like street vendors where they don't want to deal with change. Also don't make your prices 7.50 and 8.50. always round up to the nearest 99 or 95 cents. like 7.95/8.95. i know its dumb in theory but it works.

If you have trouble with problems like these to the extent that you need to ask strangers on an online poker message board, your business is going to fail.

I just skimmed the replies so maybe this has been said already but ..

I would have tax included. Now you hand them back 3 quarters right? So what you need to do is have something for sale that costs/takes quarters

Arcade machine, gumballs, a jukebox, whatever

I'd say $8.25, $6900 more per year for you and I don't think the few cents more is gonna make or break whether people come to your establishment.

Which brings up an important point... running a good mini-golf course is more important than whether you charge $8.08 or $8.25. Not sure about Vegas but where I'm from (NYC area) there were always these crappy, shabby mini-golf places where it looked like a couple guys bought some holes on EBAY and tried to run the whole thing on the cheap. They always closed down in a summer - but the course would stick around for awhile with weeds growing around the chain-link fence, etc. Abandoned minigolf courses are so depressing.

So make the place worth going to and families will pay a little extra. People have money nowadays, as long as they get value for it they will pay. Good luck!

This seems like expensive mini-golf. But then again, I haven't gone in five years or so.

that's what I was thinking.

Is this indoors CSC? I went to the website and it looks like it is from the photos but I'm not sure. Neat pictures and very useful website though. I enjoyed meeting you last year and I wish you good luck with this venture.

You should check out our place. It really is cool. We're finishing up painting today, so we should get pictures of our course up on the website (see my location) by Sunday at the latest.
