honestly you should have kept the money, you didn't do anything wrong.
"I knew I would NEVER get any positive answer to this. " No, I mean it was a super nice thing to do. Just wasn't necessary. But w/e helps you sleep at night. You'll get karma points maybe. |

Re: So I sit down at $10/$20 PLO instead of $.25/$.50 ...
There is NO WAY HE WOULD EVER HAD SEND ME EVEN $1 BACK.
Don't you think I know this? Do you think I believe in honesty and fairness in poker? Most players would hussle. Most players would use whatever way they can to make money. Most players are very unethical and even though it is stupid that I sent the money back, it makes me feel good about keeping what I win on Stars aimed toward the long run. I appreciate all of you highlighting in details the depth of my stupidity. I understand what baronzeus says: I did deserve it, even though it felt like a theft in my head. One question out of curiosity: one guy walks near you and drops a $100 bill on the floor. You notice and he doesn't. When (under what conditions) does it make sense to tell him or to keep it? Also, in poker, where is the borderline between a winning mentality and a theft? Why don't we all steal blinds at $300/$600 for a living?. One person cannot steal 1BB at $300/$600 a million times, but if you could steal 1BB everyday with a different screename every time, would you? Please tell me. Even though I won the money square and fair leaving right after is not and makes me a pussy since I did not continue. It therefore becomes the act of a lower and greedy individual once I decide to flee. That's my thought. |

You are a bonehead.
Sitting out after winning money from someone might piss them off, but it is in no way unethical. You should have kept the money. |

Re: So I sit down at $10/$20 PLO instead of $.25/$.50 ...
@ elcastigator.
I wasn't in shock BECAUSE I transferred $163. I was in shock when I loaded PT to look back and saw I potted $360 on the turn with bottom two and an inside SD, while having $1600 behind. I really lost my mind completely when I played and just after. Then decided to post it to see what people would think about the transfer. When you play poker you can't have much emotion such as pity etc. But it doesn't prevent you from doing nice/stupid things after the game. People give their winnings back to charity sometimes. Do they hate money??? I gave my small profit to the entire community and felt ok with it. Maybe this player is bad, and it will commute and move around in poker wealth, and maybe some of it will be in your hand one day. Cheers [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |
