sweet thread

Do you tell people you meet in real life what you do? And if you do, does hearing the same obvious stupid jokes over and over make you want to kill them?

You must get a lot of people who want a very specific answer to an important question like "should I start this business" or "is my spouse cheating on me?" How do you handle this?

Was your father a police detective who trained you constantly leaving you with a very heightened sense of observation but also pushed you too hard so you ended up a slacker despite your mental acumen and have fallen into a position where you use said observational super-abilities to con people into believing you have psychic abilities which leads to a series of mis-adventures where you make money, have fun, do good in the world and, most unexpectedly, reconnect with your long lost father who, despite his pronounced disagreement with what you are doing, is secretly proud of how good you are it and happy to be rebuilding your relationship?

Also, is your best friend that black kid from the West Wing?

John Edwards is running for president but TV psychic John Edward is not. Do you think people would more or less inclined to vote for him if John Edward entered the race and said that if elected he would ask the spirits of Lincoln and Washington to be in his cabinet?

Thanks.
