Default Re: ***August LC Thread*** - OMG I have this great amazing story...

I had a kind of epic HU session at 200NL on fulltilt the other day. The guy took like $450 off my within maybe 15 minutes cause he was an absolute wackjob who just called any gutshot and hit so many big hands/beats/coolers it was unreal. I couldn't bring myself to stop-loss and leave, cause he was the best spot I have seen in so long. So at one point stacks were like $650 to $200 in his favor, but I just waited, went on a bit of a rush (ie. flopped a pair once or twice), and wound up with all the money except $22.

I opened an email to my friend to send a few hilarious HH's, and wrote "I'm still playing him but he has 20 bucks left, I'd quit but I want to bust him on principle". Well principles can be expensive cause he rebought for like $54 more, some odd number that told me he had his whole bankroll on the table, and I decided to bust it for him. 20 minutes later he hit two 2-outters and also a runner-runner flush (when I hit a running straight) and he had like $400 again. WOOPS. I will not make that mistake again. So I had to stay a while longer, but I did finally bust him, AA vs KK all in preflop. Woulda been more satisfying to win on something other than a cooler, but after not getting a big pair for 600 hands against him, I figured coolering him was luck evening out.

Anyhow, here are the best 2 hands. They both still make me laugh so hard, a friend who was railing me just kept going "wtf???" the whole match.

-----------------------------------

The turn makes me LOL cause of the bet sizing and cause he just bet-min and then called the raise in like 1 millisecond, absolutely NO pause to consider the size or anything. I feel bad in retrospect that I only overbet the pot that much on the turn, he probably would have called 200%. His river line is pretty frigging sweet, partly because it was also INSTA, like just he bet within a millisecond and then folded within like a millisecond.

---------------------------------
Again, note the bet sizing on turn and river. I think this is a standard cooler right, he can't really get away on the river?

hey i'm not sure where to post this b/c i'm pretty new to the forum, and i figured lc would be the safest place to not be in anyone's way at least. anyway i've been having troubles getting the converter's i've seen around here to convert my hu sng hand histories, and i was interested in some advice about if i'm playing w/ terrible leaks or if it's more variance that's been affecting my bank roll a bit. anyway, if anyone has any advice or knows where to find a group to exchange hand histories and that sorta stuff i'm trying to become more involved in the poker community. thank you.

i'm doing a little HU challenge, started with 1k on FTP at 0.5/1 HU NL, crushed, went to 1/2, crushed, got br up to 4800, try 2/4, lose a lot back down to 1/2 crush it until i have 7500, back to 2/4, lose 3k, back to 1/2, win 3500, back to 2/4 again, lose 2k. wtf why is 2/4 infinitely harder than 1/2?
