WTF is this Drew Carey just giving up on his career? Gameshows are where failures go to scrape by for their last days.

Like Regis?

So are they going to take this opportunity to update the set to the 21st century, or stick with the old school?

WHo watches the TPIR - mainly housewives right? Drew Cary seems a little too risque for that audience. Barker was not a comedian, just a pure MC - which is what that show needs. DC will be trying to crack jokes every 30 seconds. I don't see this working unless DC tones down his act and becomes a complete bore.

Hosting the Price of Right isn't really a job for a Comedian, imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

no, it isn't - the contestants are supposed to be the comedy, bob barker was perfectly patronizing without being hateful.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with you in spirit, but Bob Barker did not patronize his guests. At least not in the sense of acting condescendingly.

He remained composed when people acted like hysterical ass hats, and made quick-witted remarks, but talking down to people was not part of his game.

So not happy about this douchecookie getting this job.

I really need him to drift off into obscurity so that I can just be me again.

Although given that tpir is one of my favorite e-homies, there's a slight degree of rolf here.

I don't really like the guy much, but I can't imagine him not doing a fantastic job here.
