checking TT = not retarded imo. top set on the flop, only 4x pot to play for against an aggressive player, seems fine to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree.

I don't see why nobody's mentioned that he could have [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] here. This isn't a great way to play it, but people def take this line with that.

[/ QUOTE ]

thats cause no one has ever played two diamonds like this in the history of ever

anyway I'd say his hand looks a lot like AK, could be AQ/AJ with a diamond though. I dunno. I really think he's got AK here.

i'll be damned if i'm gonna let him c/c lead with [censored] and take the pot away just because my hand is more defined than his.

[/ QUOTE ]

or, you could let him take it because he has the best hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

Which is what? I suck at range kinda stuff, so maybe you can help me out with a range and my equity against it. I have a few thoughts that might help, namely that I think he has a flush here like none of the time.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know what his exact range is/it really doesn't matter in this spot unless you want to bluff shove (because this def isn't a value shove/you have 5 outs here probably 80% of the time+++), and I don't like bluff shoving BvB when I have 5 outs giving the other guy 3:1 on a call.

but if I really had to guess, it'd involve tens, kings and a bunch of other diamond-less pairs, with a few random 2 pair, flushes and straight draws thrown in for variety.

And i'm with you funki, doesn't seem like a flush is in his range at all. i mean if he knows me at all he knows im aggro and a calling station, with like 1.5x pot effective stacks and two streets to go i think he can expect to get paid with a flush in a different manner.

Unless of course, he knows his line is so weird that i will look him up even lighter becuz of it. ... i don't give him credit for this level of sophisicatedness tho, he plays too many tables.

wow, this is so incredibly nuts. this is absofuckinglutely for value. my oh my.

we have a good pair BvB vs a line that makes absolutely no sense. how in the world do you come to the conclusion that we are good 20% of the time?

based on this thread and the Nut Straight thread, i'm convinced taking a ridiculous line and/or c/r'ing river is profitable with any two against this forum now.

like, it's a donkament. people play horrible. and we have a decent hand. therefore, aejones theorem. seriously.

oh, okay, 'strong but vulnerable' lines from massively multitabling tags that make no sense are bluffs now and we should shove for value on this board with third pair. good thought process. you've really shown a whole bunch of improvement lately at this game.

how about this one: he played a good hand bad and is scared to give a free card, so he leads?

then whats the good line? fold turn? bet bigger on flop? check behind flop? how about some responses that aren't complete copouts, jesus.

[/ QUOTE ]

fwiw w/o looking at results, I would normally check behind on this flop for pot control and bc I believe my hand has showdown value. If I checked behind on this flop I would call his turn lead of like 1200 or whatever and reevaluate the river - hopefully check check.

anyone who can give me a HH where the sb raises preflop, check calls the flop on a draw heavy board, and then fires at the pot when the draw gets there as a BLUFF, will win 5 dollars.

please note this has to be at reasonable limits and a legit hand history.
