an argument for calling would be If you think villian could ever 4 bet something like A8s or 78s or some crap, and is folding to your push, you might get an extra maybe halfpot type barrel out of these hands if you call and C/R the flop.

just pointing out the pros, I'd probably shove pre though. calling has merit against some.

Calling OOP sucks as your coldcall basically says 'Hello, I have a high pocket pair' and I doubt you'll get action from weaker hands on the flop.
Versus a range of QQ+,AK with 4AA and 4KK combos you have 43,7% equity
With all 6 AA and KK combos thrown in you have 40,2%

You're shoving $375,10 more to win $473,10.
You need 375,10/(375,10 + 473,10) = 44,2% equity for 0EV.

Assuming you have 40,2% equity when called your EV when called is
(0,402 * $473,10) - (0,598 * $375,10) = -$34,12

If he folds you win $175,00

175x - 34,12 (1-x) = 0 -> x = 0,163

So he has to fold 16,3% of the time

QQ+,AK are 29 combos so he has to 4-bet fold more than
(29 / 0,837) - 29 = 5,65 = 6 combos

Calling OOP rocks as your coldcall basically says "I'm a stubborn mofo cus you reraised small, and I might fold if you bet the flop"

Hmm I guess none of my options are really that terrible. I had been 3-betting a standard range, nothing out of line at all, and as I said I felt villain had been treating me cautiously, at least up to this point.

Against good players in a 100BB situation, if you keep stacking off with QQ PF, you will be losing stack after stack after stack. In really deepstack situation (like 200BB+) dynamics change heavily as a 4 bet could still easily be a "move" from a good player.

I'd like to hear the almighty aejones's advice since he failed to actually give any and simply implied how stupid we all are.

agree fgators.

with no history the shove sucks.

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think you need history with the way these games play nowadays.

Even fish get beaten up on soo much that they make funky stands once in a greatwhile, but more importantly folding to AK is a nightmare.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're not folding to a hand, you're folding to a range.
