I bet the turn and call a push. As played I call the river.

Adanthar, if you think he's got a draw 90% of the time on the turn, how often do you think he's folding that draw to a turn normal-sized bet? Isn't the risk of letting him get a free card outweighed by the equity gained by these draws almost always stabbing at the pot when they miss on the river?

I should also say I don't for one second believe he's got a draw 90% of the time when he checks the turn. As was said earlier, his range when he c/raises the flop is huge and there are many, many hands that he will "give up" with when you call the c/raise by checking the turn. He's not following through with air 100% of the time, and if he's got a hand with a little showdown value he might hope you check through the turn. When we check the turn, it allows all these air hands plus missed draws to bet into a 30k pot on the river, handing us another 15-30k usually.

I'd probably play it the same but I think three-betting the flop or bet/calling the turn are also fine and maybe better. One line may be optimal in a vacuum but image, table dynamics and reads would be the deciding factor.
I can't see why we would ever fold the river. |

also, when he CR's/checks the turn, he basically ALWAYS has a draw (maybe Kx 10% of the time, who cares.) [/ QUOTE ] i agree, bet the turn |

I am anxiously looking forward to how we are concluding that "he basically ALWAYS" has a draw based on his c/r-check line.

[/ QUOTE ] because trying to double CR KQ+ there is somewhere between "world champion of poker" and "certifiably insane" and he's (presumably) not bad enough to c/c anything that beats AA on that particular board. he might show up with KJ/KT once in a while but that's about it, and it's a pretty ugly line to take with either of them. |
