If you were a GM, you'd trade Quentin to get Figgins?

Well, I hate Eric Chavez. A lot. And I have for a long time now (always was a fan of Tejada).

Anyway, I like him better than Blalock, and it's tough to be worse than Chavez at this point.

There's guys like Jason Kendall, Omar Vizquel, Dioner Navarro, Craig Monroe, Julio Lugo, Carlos Quentin, and many others - all of them infinitely worse than Figgins.

[/ QUOTE ]

a half season sample size doesnt make it true. lugo, monroe, quentin are all better 2+ yr properties than figgins when figgins isn't filling in all across the diamond and such, and navarro was a better one too before he flopped.

No. I'm not saying that Quentin is worse, what I'm saying is that Figgins is not one of the worst everyday players in the league this year.

Also, just because he's a top 30 fantasy player doesn't mean he is even top 300 in real life, and I hate it when people think that.

Yes, Figgins is not good as a third baseman, this much is obvious.

OH GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

It looks like Jason Kendall is going to the Cubbies. The A's get two nobodies in return. This might be the best deal Billy Beane has ever pulled off!

A's prediction: Beane will trade Crosby and Chavez in a package deal. Although it would be nice to hold on to Chavez, we need to add a sweetener to unload Crosby. I know the Giants could use younger replacement at SS and I think they are unhappy with the production at 3B.

Good. I hope we get a sack of rice in exchange. That would be more than enough.

First of all, it would not be nice to hold on to Chavez. Second of all, both of them are way too young to trade to the Giants.
