Halo was an amazing game AMAZING, the 1st of its kind

Halo 2 is known more for its EXCELLENT online play while halo 1 def had a better story line etc but halo 2 online play is what its known for simply an amazing series

btw i really liked secret of mana, sure i beat it quite a few times but it was still a great game (for snes)

Exactly what kind of game was Halo that differentiated it from prior FPS?

Nothing about Halo was revolutionary, but it is still probably the smoothest gameplay of any FPS as well as the best online play of any console game (Halo 2).

Mortal Kombat is the best answer so far, it is entertaining but not good enough to have its own movie made off of it.

I agree with FF7 being overrated. But I played it years after it came out, so I'm biased.

I loved MGS though, especially the plot. It is not overrated.

I guess FF7 is overrated in the sense that it is a great game, but not the greatest ever as some call it. When someone says overrated I tend to think about games that are hailed as good but in reality are bad. I don't think anybody can call FF7 a bad game.

Yeah, it's not like FF7 was bad or anything. It just wasn't super amazing.

FF7 was great when it first came out , no other game at that time looked as good ...but it really hasnt held up because the graphics suck compared to todays games ...

I always thought Halo was grossly over rated.

I really dislike this argument. How can a game "hold up". Mario 64 (one of my top 5 all time games) hasn't held up graphically. Mario is a ball of large polygons, but the game is still fun. SMB3 is certainly graphically dated, but fun. I feel the same way about almost any game that hasn't come out this year or last: their graphics are dated but the games are still entertaining to play.
