Re: Hand 14 of $500+$40 at Wynn, 6/15/2007
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] who is saying hero shouldn't have folded the river anyway? [/ QUOTE ] Did you read betgo's posts? [/ QUOTE ] He never really said you should fold, he said once that you should be careful getting 5.5-1 on the river, which I think is a reasonable comment to make. You should pretty much always be careful about folding a set on the river in this circumstance. Oops missed one post where he does say to fold the river. Whatever he doesn't go too crazy championing a call. [/ QUOTE ] While I agree that folding a set is extreme, how the heck does she play this hand with anything I'm beating? If you can give me one single hand she also plays this way and I'm ahead on the river, I'll admit calling is correct. The play of this hand is so precise that I know for a fact I'm behind. Even 11:1 I think I fold here. |

[ QUOTE ]
She is limping aces in third position. I assume this is an open limp, but there are 5 limpers, so it could be a limp behind. However, she is completely straightforward and not tricky in her play. [/ QUOTE ] Seat 5 limped She was in Seat 6 (A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]), she also limped Seat 7 (KK) also limped Seat 8 also limped Seat 9 folded Seat 1 limped Seat 2 folded I was Seat 3, and in the Small Blind, I completed Seat 4 was the Big Blind, and checked his option How you limp when there is 1 limper with AA, and how you limp with 2 limpers with KK is baffling to me. I'm guessing these were aborted limp-reraises, but maybe they just legitimately limped? |
