Re: Overused Movie Lines
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] high five [/ QUOTE ] Great post, traz. You're sooo right, I hear this in movies all the time. It really shows a lack of creativity on the part of the writers... I mean, damn how often are we gonna have to hear someone say "high five" in a movie? Quality contribution, man. [/ QUOTE ] LOL. But speaking of movie quotes that are used too much in real life: any line from Office Space. I seriously might pistol whip the next person that "has a case of the Mondays". Show me some of that hate, pj. [/ QUOTE ] Hey Farva...What's the name of that restuarant with all the goofy [censored] on the walls? - You mean Shinanigans? [/ QUOTE ] I used this about 50 times this weekend when a friend sugested we go to shenanigans. |

Said to hero: No one's ever attempted [insert seemingly impossible situation] and survived.
Fast forward 30 minutes to hero standing triumphant. |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
Not a line per se, but a scene that has become very standard for heist/spy movies (the Ocean's flicks and the MI series, Entrapment, and so on).
When they're planning how to break into their destination and they go through each way in which its impossible, and how many levels of retinal scans and randomly-moving security cameras there are. And then TOM CRUISE says something like - "and that's the easy part!" That being said, I really love these scenes, lol. |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
[ QUOTE ]
"I was born ready" Actually, this is basically the only reason I want to see Ocean's 13. George Clooney: Are you ready? Andy Garcia: ...I was born ready. Me watching preview: *Rolls eyes* George Clooney: *Rolls eyes* Me watching preview: "YES!" Also, "This is what you trained for!" and "GO GO GO" [/ QUOTE ] that was absolutely hysterical in the commercial; so smart of the writers |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
not exactly a line, but most sex scenes in movies are all the same and serve no purpose
to give a counterexample, i was pleasantly surprised that the sex scenes in "knocked up" were original and relevant to the story |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
[ QUOTE ]
"How long have you been standing there?" (no please, don't say it... don't say it...) "Long enough." [/ QUOTE ] PJ, certainly not the first use, but this exchange happens in "Double Indemnity." |
