Plus, add in the fact that the pot is ginormous and the play costs him less than a bet to make and if it works wins him the whole pot. This isn't particularly close.

[/ QUOTE ]

It costs him more than a bet when BB caps.

[/ QUOTE ]

BB doesn't cap after tanking before raising.

Okay, so say he has like T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Which creates another problem, because not only does he hold some of our outs, but we're also going to have to invest another bet on the river to get him off his hand. All of his plausible hands except like AA have the odds to draw even if they're convinced that hero has the nuts.

Default The Operation Was A Success . . .

. . . but, alas, the patient died.

Button called and I 3-bet. Big blind grimaced and called. Button pursed her lips and folded.

River was the 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I bet, big blind raised, I groaned, and I "reluctantly" folded. Big blind flashed me K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and said, "I was hoping you had ten-nine of spades. Ten-nine of clubs, huh?" I shook my head yes.

Big blind's turn raise was to try to get the best hand out with the idea that I was merely on a draw. Which, of course, was accurate. But he too was fooled by the call-3bet.

Looking back at my original post, it might have been better if, instead of "terrific" post-flop player, had I said "very good to excellent."

Well, anyway, who cares about a stupid 60-120 hand when you have the David and Brandi Show on another channel?

I'd back him every day and twice on Sundays in that game. In fact, I'm going to write an article about him for the magazine.

how? by saying "andy's tight, people are afraid of him"? cause that's all they said and it's not really the case. andy's play here is misguided and weird.
