It would seem to me that you could get that playground made safer for the children:

I saw one in a new subdivision that was pretty bad. It was a tall column (about 15 feet), with a "web" of rope radiating from the center, and down sort of like a circus tent. It was obv. intended for kids to climb the rope to the center column, then back down I guess, but I remember these things having like 8" between ropes, but this one had literally 2 to 3 feet between the ropes. Kids are going to fall through those openings left and right. Broken necks galore, imo.

BTW in general all this plastic crap they have for kids now is so much worse than the good old plain slides we had as a kid. This new stuff has horrible seams and bolts and junk that give you these evil cuts.

![]() [/ QUOTE ] Even w/out the Hispanic family, I'd've doubted this (awesome) slide was in America, but no, Fruit Acres Farms is in Coloma, Michigan. Maybe they just keep it way out in the fields for the "help's" kids to play on; less chance of lawsuits. OT, but feel free to go to fruitacresfarms.com and discuss how their website was put together. |

[/ QUOTE ] lol, i'm not normally this nitty. Just struck me as odd that someone could design something so awful. It being assembled incorrectly makes the most sense for the vertical slide. |
