I did and chose: "Man, Economy and State".
All the textbooks I was recommended and or forced to read during university were wrong on many issues and not scientifically credible (positivism and all). Care to give a concrete recommandation (which does debunk the gold standard)?

You guys think Ron Paul is soft on national defense? Because he wants to STOP bombing other countries? If you're slapped in the face, do you go whine to the U.N. or do you slap back?
Ron Paul wants to secure the border; that's security. He wants to take care of the veterans. He wants to STOP putting soldiers in other countries. Ronald Regan went into Lebanon and he pulled out after losing only 120 troops, because he was smart. He wrote in his memoirs later on "No one can understand the irrationality of middle eastern politics". Yet you occupy Saudi Arabia with military bases. What you should be doing is trading with people, protecting your borders, making sure that you are ready to defend your country if you are attacked by not over extending your forces all over the world. You have bases in Europe, the middle east... everywhere. How can you defend your airspace and your borders when you are defending everyone else's? Why do American soldiers die because others are too complacent to defend their own liberty? How does that benefit "national security", when in fact the blowback is responsible for Americans losing lives.

www.ronpaul2008.com is the official site. Please send him some money! He receives no funding from corporations, mostly he gets $100 donations from private individuals. A down payment on Liberty they call it. A month ago he had $600,000 which is amazing considering he had no backing from special interest groups. Today he is reported to have $5,000,000. All from people around the country that have looked at his record from 10 years in congress and believe in what he is saying. Sorry that should read 10 TERMS not 10 years. My apologies.
