Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
[ QUOTE ]
This has never happened to me. Is it weird that it sounds like a really cool experience that I would try if I had the choice? Being physically paralyzed while having a crazy lucid dream and hallucinating sounds like it would be intense. [/ QUOTE ] I can see why you would want to experience it and it indeed is intense. But it really is a beat. It'll probably happen to you some day anyway. |

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
i get this about once every other month, and it is absolutely terrifying. i will "wake up" but be unable to open my eyelids or move at all. it's amazing i am still able to breathe. it usually lasts about 2 minutes and then i open my eyes, roll over, and go back to sleep.

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
I was also very happy that i was able to breath at first but thats obv because you also have to breathe while sleeping and the muscles needed for that aren't paralyzed.
I think that you're pretty [censored] when it happens while laying on your stomach. |

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
I've had this probably a dozen or so times. The times when it's really scary is when I'm having a nightmare of sorts, and I'm being followed or chased. I wake up, totally convinced that someone or something is after me, searching for me, but I just can't open my eyes. No matter how hard I try. The waking up part is usually accompanied by some sort of dreamy noise or sound.

I don't think it'll happen if you are on your stomach or side. Only supine. So they can hold you down.
