Assani,
The NBADraft profiles of Wilcox and Wright are not similar at all. The profile for Wright is much better and from reading it they make him seem like a more polished player with more upside. Wright>>>>>>> Wilcox

Yeah, what on earth was I thinking?

I will agree with you that Wright is more polished. However, "not similar at all" is just silly.

Assani,
The thing is that you could take the profile of Wright or Wilcox and compare it to lots of people. There are lots of long, athletic, power forwards who can't shoot FT's and haven't reached their potential yet.

Wilcox and Gooden are incredibly good "bust" outcomes. I don't think of either of them as a bust and they were drafted roughly around where Horford and Wright will be. I know it's a strong draft, but I don't think any draft class is strong enough that in 4 years we'll think a guy drafted 5-10thish putting up 14/8 is a bust.

Fair enough. I just happen to think that these two are more simliar that some of the others you could compare. You may disagree with that, and thats fine. I was asked by OP to go out on a limb and predict a bust, and I did. I could be right; I could be wrong. But I strongly dispute Eagles' notion that their NBAdraft.net scouting reports aren't similar.

agreed completely. Thats why i started my first post with "Tough to predict any total busts in such a strong class unless you go outside the top 15, but I'll say that..."

I'm sure there could be a total bust or two, but obviously if NBA GMs can't identify them then theres no way we have any way to say. I see this thread as a fun and innocent place where you just throw a prediction or two out there. I don't think we should really critisize anyone's predictions since we're being told by OP to go out on a limb.

Hawes is the anti bust. He's already got a developed post game. Put him in an NBA weight room and good things will happen.

None of the 4s in the draft blow me away.

I haven't watched enough Oden, but I always worry about a guy who seems to dominate a weaker level (especially at the center spot) just on size alone and not skills.

I think it's really hard to judge anybody who has only one year of college ball, and unfair to judge them after only 2 or 3 years in the pros. It will take a long time to correct assess any of the recent drafts.

Correct that you haven't watched enough of him if you think he lacks skills.
