he never has 22 and he doesnt have to have you drawing when he 3bets the turn if he's taking some retarded line with two pair or makes a bad play with A2.

OP states he shows down too often, usually after showing aggression at some point. He isn't very agressive, but otherwise solid, leading me to believe he may peel with alot of things after raising preflop and missing the flop.

I think 22 is about as likely as TT, JJ here. Maybe a little more so, since he should be check-raising the latter two on the turn.

Tortuga, peeling 22 on that flop vs. a preflop 3bettor is not slightly overloose, it's hideous. That would mean calling with an at best 2-outer getting 12:1. And he can't expect 22 to win UI. TAGs, even showdown monkey TAGs, are practically never peeling 22 here.

miles: Is playing Ax this way as bad as I think it is? I don't see why Ax would play this way but then again not much makes sense to me here other than A2.

its not nearly as bad as playing two pair this way.

QQ and KK check behind turn so betting prevents letting him do that (these hands have 6 outs).

pf is fine, standard.
flop is fine, standard.
with top two in 6m (which is aggressive by its nature) a fold here is beyond awful and a call is almost as bad. 100% raise please.

his range is mostly one pair of aces and you have a super easy raise.

this is the second time I get caught not reading the number of players. I need to look for that next time. I don't play 6 max.

Folding this is wrong even if it's 40-handed.

Given that it's fitty-a buck, assuming that he's not playing two-pair just because it would be a bad play is, well, donkish. My point was that even if you only consider two-pair or better hands, you're still ahead enough to raise.

I also think he's passive enough that you can fold the river unimproved if you get 3-bet on the turn. Pot size might argue a call, though.

I'm really feeling like this is A2.

[/ QUOTE ]
Even if I get 3bet on the turn, I don't like a river fold UI, since I'd imagine 1 in 13 times, he puts me on AK and goes overboard with AJ/AT/A2 as has been said.

To me, AT is much more likely than A2. I don't see A2 raising preflop from that spot, and I've seen weird slowplays like this a ton at these stakes.

For me, likelihood goes AT, TT, then JJ. He could also feasibly play AK like this, imo.
