BTW, what moron has trouble reading their holecards (before now)? Like, who was clamoring for this change?

Cards were 86ed by dinner break in the 5k event. Replaced with classic regular ol kem cards.

So they just had a couple hundred "normal decks" lying around just in case? LOL!!! I never thought I would say that I'm glad I'm not playing in the WSOP.

Out of all things to mess up on, how could you mess up on the cards?

Don't worry, they're pretty much screwing everything else up too.

If they were going to make some huge change with the cards, why not just make them four color decks..?

Because Harrah's would make the backs a different color for each suit too.

Four color decks are not a good idea in my opinion. But I think the point is there should be NO major changes to the cards that are first introduced in Event #1 of the WSOP. You could not pick a worse time.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, the could've waited until the $50k HORSE event or the main event. That would probably be slightly worse.

Nope, more like maybe 50 at most.

I saw them bring out the new Kem decks for Event #1 and they were the Arrow Kems (i.e. the Rounders Kems) that pretty much aren't used in any rooms, but can be found at retail at the Gambler's Store and maybe 1 or 2 other places in Vegas.

I fully suspect that Harrahs sent a toady down to the Gambler's Store to clean out their stock, or they had their Kem vendor-person being in everything he had laying around to tide them over whilst they wait for the shipment from USPC to come in.
