My horse had her baby!!! (pics)

She spent last night in an equine hospital because the levels of antibodies in her blood are a bit low. She got plasma and antibiotics, and should come home tomorrow. But in the mean time, she looks very little and sad.



And mom is being more protective. It took a bag of carrots to convince her I was allowed to touch her baby.

She came home today, she looks great, lively and attentive. She'll spend the next 3 years growing up, and then I'll saddle break her. For now, she gets to learn exciting stuff like how to wear a halter, hold still, be led and just generally be handled.
