I had stopped watching the show in the late seasons originally, and a couple years ago saw "All Good Things" on Spike when they were showing 3 episodes per day for a while. I was amazed, and catch it whenever it's on. I always liked Patrick Stewart's acting, too. Actually, the best episodes of the series centered around Picard: All Good Things, Inner Light, and The Best of Both Worlds.

A long time ago I did a thread/poll on this. Link. The results were pretty interesting - I have no clue how St. Elsewhere only got one "best" vote, my guess is because of the demographics of this site half the posters weren't even born then. Anyway, "Six Feet Under" was a consensus write-in winner, which I still think is retarded given its short run, but whatever. I still think it's way harder to write a good finale after 10+ seasons or 200+ episodes.

I still can't believe people think the M*A*S*H finale was good. Is there an alternate version to the one that originally aired, because the one they showed on CBS in 1983 was really horrible.

This isn't to say it was a good episode. But it was between that and Friends...as they are the only two series finale episodes that I have ever seen. Clearly I don't watch much television.
