Re: QQ w/AK overs

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I call down. [/ QUOTE ] Are you serious? You better have the greatest read of all time to pull this off... Definately not worth it in my book. Easy laydown. [/ QUOTE ] Bla. Just yesterday, after responding to this thread I got donked into in almost exactly the same situation. Villain had 88. [/ QUOTE ] Fret, just to confirm that 88 hand was at 6-max? Either way, I noticed a lot of this type of blind defence going on yesterday, along with a ramp-up in the amount of blind defense overall. Certain players are calling a HJ+ raise and donking any flop. Given that unpaired hands are just as unlikely to connect with the flop as SB/BB the blind has a bluffing advantage, if the LP isn't paying attention. "call, donk" seems to be the new "call, check/raise". |

Fret, just to confirm that 88 hand was at 6-max? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, 1/2 6max at Abs. And though that might make a difference, I don't think it's a big one if it's folded to you in the CO. |
