Re: The whole Clonie/cocaine thing
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry, but there's no comparison to be made about the dangers of a weekend coke user and a casual drinker. [/ QUOTE ] A weekend coke user is someone who uses cocaine casually and not excessively. There are certainly comparisons to be made concerning the health risks of casual use of cocaine and alchohol |

Besides, someone who does use it occasionally is likely to develop a more serious addiction as cocaine depletes dopamine in your brain. A casual drinker, someone who doesn't drink to excess, runs very little health risks and has some benefits (moderate drinking is good for your heart, etc). Unless your idea of a casual drinker differs? |

From a scientific viewpoint a weekend coke user is doing no more harm to themselves than a casual drinker. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] A weekend coke user is someone who uses cocaine casually and not excessively. There are certainly comparisons to be made concerning the health risks of casual use of cocaine and alchohol [/ QUOTE ] Well, since the only 'science' so far has dealt with dependency (or, as in your mortality figures, does not self-select for the casual or 'weekend' user), I'd say you haven't found anything to back this up yet. Seriously, you have to specify how the effect on 'casual' users is worse (and eliminate dependency and drunk driving-related deaths), otherwise you're really arguing a very counterintuitive point, considering the effect of cocaine on the body and brain over time. |

LOL at you having too much money much too young. You'll be a great mate of River Phoenix. [ QUOTE ] LOL at people thinking cocaine is a bad drug......Its only bad if you mix it with heroin [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Belive it or not heroin is much safer than cocaine (unless you take too much of it of course). Herion is a benign drug to the human body. People can use it daily for decades without causing real harm to their bodies. The biggest problems are limp dick and constipation. Most all of the problems come from it being illegal, and therefore exhorbitantly expensive. This leads to people forgoing routine care and maintenance of their health chasing money for it and doing all sorts of risky stuff like prostitution and theft. Additionally, since it is underground and illegal proper information on it's safe use is not readily available leading people to inject it with adulterants in non sterile ways, etc. OD's happen not because herion is 'dangerous', they happen when people mix it with other drugs like benzo's and alcohol or when they resume use after a period of abstinance and use the same amount they used to use but now they don't have the same tolerance...whoops. Another way OD's happen is because the dealers are black market dealers, not pharmacists. The dealers cut their product at their kitchen tables and typically thoroughly mix the cut with the herion. But occasionally they become distracted while doing their cutting process so some of the product comes out mostly cut and some mostly heroin. This means the bags that are mostly herion are many times more potent than the dealers regular customers are used to, leading to OD....whoops, sorry. |

Heroin and cocaine users, even weekend ones, would be doing more harm to their body and selves than a casual drinker. [/ QUOTE ] Heroin is a benign substance to the human body. |
