That's the first thing I thought of reading this hand, is what about the 3rd guy. His presence in the hand is another parameter leaning towards a fold for Shawn on the river.
I also don't quite agree with his view that he must call the river if he calls the turn. There's the matter of the queen on the river, but even without, there are a lot of players who will make a continuation bet on the turn but then reoutinely quit on the river. Not saying you're in that category, but there are a lot of times one should call on the river but can comfortably fold to a river bet. Good seeing you both yesterday. Andy |

I also thought about a bluff on the river for Shawn, but, again, the presence of the 3rd player yet to act makes that a tough play. Especially since Gabe might expect Shawn to just call, going for the overcall, with the clueless guy still to act.

Well I agree that a river bluff raise to represent AQ is overdoing it but I disagree that Shawn should go for an overcall if he had it. Clueless guy is going to have a missed draw way too often.
