Very sad, but I never actually cried at that. Only time I've cried at a cartoon was when Homer had one day to live and Marge was reading that poem to him in bed.

This didn't make me cry, but it's pretty sad. Basically, there's this homeless guy in Hoboken, New Jersey, who found a companion in this abandoned pit bull terrier. If you've ever lived in or walked through Hoboken, chances are good that you've seen them. Anyway, the dog was hit by a car a few weeks ago, and the NY Times ran this story:

I am at work, and have no intention of weeping in front of my staff, so I'll just have to take your word for it.

That's terrible. The idea of someone who has so little to begin with getting that kind of companionship stripped from him is heartbreaking.

That article is from 3 years ago. They decided not to tear the frog down.

clever. now i see the 2004 date under today's date on the news8austin page. nueroman, you duped me unintentionally or not.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah sorry, it was unintentional. The news site has a big graphic at the top saying TOP STORIES FOR TUESDAY MAY 8, 2007. Below that in tiny font is the actual story date. The people who designed this website are [censored].

So, the dumbest thing I've ever cried at has just become wayyyy dumber than I originally thought.
