Do you feel good? Seriously?

You don't get sick?

Why would you follow any advice on this forum?

You are healthy and don't get sick. What more do you want?

Long term, big muscles won't do you any good. Long term, being healthy will do you a lot of good.

Then you'll likely never get any bigger and reach a healthy weight. Sorry.

On a side note, if you can't afford to see a doctor to see why you're 50+ lbs underweight, maybe you should be that as a first priority instead of asking us.

[/ QUOTE ]

The last time I went to the doctor(~2 years ago) I was the same weight, and the answer was "you'll grow out of it".

I've also been this way -my whole life-. So unless I've developed something new in the past 2 years (possible) I am probably healthy... or at least do not have any serious medical conditions.

Saying "you'll likely never get any bigger and reach a healthy weight. Sorry." just because I refuse to eat myself to the point of vomiting is not constructive in any way.

[/ QUOTE ]

belok, I hate to say it, but he is totally correct. as long as you dont vomit, and keep the food down, you need to start eating enough every day right up until the point where you think you are going to puke, thats the quickest way to start gaining weight. You dont HAVE to do it this way, but the results will come faster.

antother thing i do during bulk season is at the begining of the day, take a big tub of cottage cheese, some eggs, whey protien powder, sugar free chocolate powder for taste, peanut butter, and blend them all. Its like 2500cals that I can sip on throughout the day along with 2000 cals of "normal food".

Ty to all who helped in the thread. Working with fitday.com and increasing my calory intake gradually is definitely a good first-step in the right direction.

I will likely be back as soon as I have a better grasp of just how many calories I am able to consume. Then I'll be able to develop an informed plan for increasing that # over the coming weeks.

1. not being sick does not mean he is healthy.

2. you really dont know what you are talking about in regards to any of this so stop posting drivel, you are causing me to not want to read this forum

3. Muscles are most def. beneficial to being a healthy person. Osteoporosis, keeping your weight down, joint pain etc are all problems that can be helped by putting on muscle.

the other thing, have you tried getting insurance? Ive never really heard of someone getting turned down for being skinny? before you hit the gym, or workout, you should get insurance, take a look at ehealthinsurance.com, I have decent coverage for about 164/3 mos. If something happens in the gym you want to be covered. If its that big of a deal, personally, I dont see the problem with fudging 25lbs or so on your application, you can always just claim a bout of food poisoning!
