I felt this way when the Jets drafted Vilma at #12. No one in the top #15 was taking him. *But* there comes a point when you start to compare the value you're not getting out of whatever spot he should go in by what you think of a guy.

God I hate people who complain about their team losing in the championship game.

You'd never survive in the northeast. As far as we're concerned there is absolutely no difference between last place or second place. Heck last place is actually better than 2nd in most fan's minds as last gets a better draft pick.

I'm not really interested in the whole "my city is more tortured" debate (thank God the token whiney Boston fan is no longer a part of this..)
I've always liked Cleveland, so G/L.
The Sabres have to take it home this yr. They just have to. I have the same unusual optimistic feeling I had about the 'Cuse in 2003, so we'll see...as lame as it sounds these really are more than just hockey games.

I think Minnesota is underlooked.
Vikings have already been mentioned.
Northstars moved and than they won cups in Dallas.
Twins have had success.
Lakers had success after moving
T-Wolves have had a top ten talent for years and couldn't build a team around him.

I want Joe Thomas in the draft. I hate it when bad teams with no line or running game take a QB early in the draft so he can get killed. I know there have been a few notable exceptions, but must of these guys end up like Schuler, Leaf, Couch, Carr etc. You can disagree, but I really don't think these guys were really so much worse coming out of college than a guy like Big Ben with the Steelers. Build the team up first, then add the QB later, give him a real chance to succeed.

We don't have it so bad sports-wise, the Indians look okay and as long as we have King James, we'll always have a shot in the NBA. The Browns will get there eventually, it's hard to stay bad forever in the NFL. At least the Steelers are sucking also.

I was refering to the present team; we are all aware of the Steelers success in 2005, 1974 etc.

I'm sure Bettis will have a great 2007 between his NBC job and beer commercials. Joey Porter also.

They're 1 year removed from a championship with essentially the same nucleus in tact. They had a terrible year (by their standards) last year and still finished .500. If that's your definition of sucking, you must want to shoot yourself in the face after every Brownies season.
